The first time I removed mine I couldn't slide the bottom section out until I took off the seat belt catches, I've since trimmed a bit off the bottom corners of the bottom section to save having to do this each time .
While you've got them out its well worth sealing all the gaps with tape and silicon it stops the car filling up with water when it rains and prevents the interior getting covered in dust from the belt.
