I've only got 10 on top (each bonnet), and none on the sides! But my "short louvres" have one distinct advantage - no water gets onto the plugs in the recess on top of the Zetec engine - a common problem it seems. All but 2 of the louvres are over the heater intake, and so effectively do not contribute to engine bay cooling. As a result an elongated raincover is not needed.

In the 4/4s produced shortly before the Sport was introduced, short top louvres with no side louvres was standard, and full louvres charged extra.

On the Roadsters with "innies" I fail to see how this can be nmore effective at drawing air than outies, as the air draw is due to pressure differences not shape of louvres. Looks cool though.
