As said earlier, in the 70s, top louvres were an option, and I believe Woodstock (a 1972 car) was made for stock in 1972 (no waiting list then) as it was a base model car with no options.
Study of a photo gives 8 per side and no top ones.
"Less is more" I say, also all those additional louvres must act as an air-brake
