All this thinking about loosing keys has got me thinking. I don't like a bunch of keys hanging from the ignition switch so I keep the ignition key on a separate tag to the door key, fuel cap key, tommy bar for the side screens, and the garage remote. As a consequence of this I have twice left the fuel cap and the bunch of keys sitting on the spare wheel, once for 60 km

I have now obtained and modified a spare fuel cap to work with the ignition key but I think I am going to have to fit the door key and the ignition key on one tag so that at least I can leave the car locked and carry only one set of 2 keys. If ever I work out how to modify the door lock to work with the ignition key I will do that too.
