This relates to a recent post I put up. The alternator impellor runs very close (too close) to the valance and when the belt is properly tensioned (725mm belt) the impellor hits the valance when going over a bump (speed bumps particularly). Dreadful noise. Problem solved by slackening off the belt but that shouldn't have to be the solution. Tried to fit a shorter (715mm) belt but it won't go on. Any ideas dear friends?
