I guess from time to time,you have to tighten the bolts on the m3w.just like my hot rods,your never really done working on them till you die

Very true...my first round of "metallic clacking noise" was a few months ago and was the nut under the lower wishbone that holds the mudguard bracket on had worked loose; so a very easy fix.
I'm going to have another hunt for the source of the current right front clack tomorrow.
On another note I now have Blockley tyres on the front end. Have done about 100 miles and so far so good.
