Only difference was at the battery terminal, where the supplied lead has a very small inner diameter receiver washer. I just cut it off and stripped the wire so as to solder it with a good quality silver solder so as to make sure that all the wires in the cable were connecting. Then I bent it around the post and synched it down. That's it! One doesn't even need to do that but I am anal retentive as well as having the ability to build my own HiFi gear from scratch so the the electrical bits just work!

I also tested the ground connection before I even ripped the original C. R. Electric unit off and found that the ground was just fine. Unit was dead on arrival (DOA).

To reiterate, all else just plugs in.
