House sitting for some friends this week , decided to nip out for fish and chips before sorting out horses and dogs. Car started fine, drove couple of miles to chippy which was shut ...Oh well kebab place next door, chatted to a photographer in there who asked if he could use it in a shoot !
Went out to car, usual selection of youths hanging around, got in, pressed starter turned over fine but wouldn't start. .... after some time a couple came along, got chatting they had a large selection of V twin vehicles , including a triking, a Hesketh and a Harley with an S&S engine. After taking out rear tray concluded fuel pump probably not working.
This story is getting a bit long! Anyway Morgan rescue were called and arrived after about an hour , took me and car back to my house about 18 miles away (my other car was there)
Finally got back to friends house 3 hours after leaving !
Some very hungry horses and dogs were pleased to see me.
Will see what Krazy Horse can discover next week.
Please check out the Voltage gauge and see what it says with ignition on and on battery only. If it is below 11 volts nothing will happen. Fuel pump does not matter. There has to be enough power to control the EFI circuitry and if that does not happen you have a dead car!
