Got caught on the rain today for the first time in my 2000 4/4 and when we got in the car with wet coats etc of course the screen misted up.
I expected it to clear fairly quickly when I switched on the heated screen but after a couple of minutes I had to resort to wiping it with a cloth.
Later I identified the fuse for the screen, I couldn't see if it was blown but the plastic appeared melted so I replaced it. I tested the screen by breathing on it (we'd dried out now) and it still didn't seem to be working.
I'm away from home at the moment so don't have access to a multimeter, but when the screen is turned on I can hear a click using a radio on MW tuned away from a station. So that would seem to indicate power is being used, also the panel lights dim very slightly with the engine stopped.
Is the screen just slow to clear normally, or do I have a fault? I note also that the switch doesn't light up, I don't know whether it should.
I understand from the dealer I bought it from that he has replaced the screen. I've read on here about problems when Autoglass have replaced the screen, but this is "the oldest Morgan dealer" so they should know what they're doing!
