Cleaning the edges of Defendall/3M (same stuff) just different label, very hot water (not boiling) pour over and wipe along edge with something like or similar to cotton bud.
I have seen Aero's without this and yes they do look good, but 12000motor way miles in the Max and no chipped paint work, I would rather have it than not.
