The RAM part you need to mount onto the tube behind the dash is RAM-MOUNT -RAM-B-108B - Mount V Base with 1 Ball and Straps. I ordered mine from Amazon:
RAM Mount V Base Just undo the large jubilee clip and wrap it around the tube. I didn't bother with the rubber strap - too fiddly.
The next piece is the RAM Double Socket Standard Arm 1" Ball. For other sat navs you may want to try a longer arm.
RAM Standard Arm After the arm you will need to get a RAM mount and ball fixing to suit your Sat Nav.
Wiscos - the intercom will only come to life if the Driver side headphones are plugged in. Mine only seems to work with the coiled extension lead fitted and you need to ensure it is all properly plugged together. When little red lights appear on the intercom unit it will be working
