Peter, for what it's worth, and I don't think many here agree with me, what I do is use an aerosol of waxoil which I spray over the beading (using the straw, not a big area). I let it settle then blow a hairdryer over it gently ... it all melts and runs nicely into everywhere. I do this once a year. If I do use too much a little white spirit on a rag takes any excess off.

Now I'm torn between the penitrating powers of ACF 50 and the sublime softness of Waxoil....
And then there is the surreal idea of using a hair dryer on a Morgan....
