My early 4/4s were my principle means of transport - more comfortable than the bike (Triumph 500)and I didn't get 'nearly' as wet! It was a time when people bought Morgan's as just another make of Sports Car; used them, thrashed them and bought something else. My first car was a 'Basket Case' and the two later ones could be described as moderately to Well Used! If you can do without 'modern' levels of comfort then a 'Mog'can get you from 'A to B' on a daily basis, no problem. As long as you don't plan to use the motorways, even worse with a 4 Speed box.
I think nowadays, you have to take into account all the other issues of daily life in Britain; even more than than the car its'self.
