I would rather fit yoghurt carton lids than have missing centre caps. Likewise for valve caps.
We hired a 'Toyota' for our trip to Dartmouth and it had no valve caps. So - I fitted four spares for the trip, and took them off when we got back..........
PS - basic checks when looking at a car to buy, or for concours - matching tyres - in extreme cases, matching date codes, full complement of centre caps and matching valve caps.
That's a well looked after car..........
