As for Top Gear, there were plenty of laughs but the "slap stick" routines with the old hot hatches were a bit predictable. When James's car was blown up by a tank, how could we have known he was going to be sat in a crater, smouldering with a steering wheel in his hand. Could we have got a clue from a similar incident not 5 minutes before when Clarkson emerged after a fireball in his car.
