Why use winter tyres all year round? According to the Met Office the only months of the year when ground temperature in the south of the UK is certain to be below above 7C (the point at which winter tyres are better than summer) are June to September, just 4 months. The rest of the year winter tyres are going to have no worse and mostly better grip than summer tyres....
