Hi Jeremy,
Glad you had a nice ride today as it really was worth it going up to Malvern.
I went up there with a friend and arrived at 10:45, just in time for a quick & and late breakfast.
We then had a factory tour (3rd one for me but it's always good to have a look at what's going on in the workshops ;-). I noticed a strange red narrow body roadster (I guess)at the trim shop, which had dashboard instruments I had never seen before: speedo + rpm reader with concentric circles in the background; silver tainted push buttons; heater button with indicator marks from blue to red around it.
During the buffet which was offered at 12:45, Mark and Steve gave a greeting speech and answered Q&As. Main takeaways were:
- Morgan is going global but not too much
- Delivery times for news builds are 6 to 9 months
- 600 car are expected to be built this year (half 3W, half 4W)
- Do not expect big changes this year in terms of new models: mgt board wants to focus and capitalize on the existing production items.
After lunch, my friend bought some goodies on sale. Then came trial time: I drove a 3W and was driven in a +8 !!!
To sum it up, we loved it! And the drive back was as sunny as the way in
