Again, it was bloody fantastic. Cruising with the roof on and stereo cranked up (no working front speakers) was tolerable. I have fairly long legs and found that if I shuffled my bum forwards a little I had a happier bend for my left knee. Whether this makes 400km at a time comfortable is another matter.

Making overtakes on back roads doesn't feel "arrogant" in the way it would in something mainstream - BMW M, Merc 63, Audi RS and perhaps even one of the cooking Jags. It is shouty in the way only a supercar can be - but does so while wearing tweed and smoking a pipe.

I find the chassis and setup enormously exploitable - the lightweight making it far easier to balance in the corners - and it digs in whatever gear you are in when you plant the throttle.

Insurance is buttock clenching due to the high new price (Swiss insurance is directly related to this) - and the dealer is still playing hard ball on the price.

The head says French Racing Blue XKR-S Coupe - the heart is saying Morgan.

(Actually the head says - Keep the Alpina B3 and fit the downpipe!!)
