That blue one looks like a nice car - I nearly bought this one myself -

All the comments are true - You will get a lot of attention from the public with either the Aero or SS -

Both the Aeros I have owned have created that "special feeling" each time you go out

Nothing beats the growl of the V8 with the roof down

I think the SS wil be the same or better -

Dont hesitate - its just exchanging money for memories

dean, whoops sorry, Dean I think you are paying on the high side for the insurance unless you have some historic issues, speeding etc.

I am paying less than 300 for mine as part of an Admiral multicar with a tracker.

Alistair try asking for quote for AEROMAX not Coupe-Aero8 or SS, a very different animal when requesting insurance quote and its guaranteed value.

I have an acquaintance with a Max who only brings it out of the Garage on a full moon, restricted mileage @2000 per annum and he is @£600.00 mark.

I would interested to learn if you could obtain a quote on a Max at that figure, let me know how you do.

The fleet on 10 cars now only averages £300.00 and that is with 1x under 21yoa and 2x under 25yoa, but they wont entertain the Max on that policy.

Yes, that's been my experience also; my underwriters citing the rarity of the Aeromax as the main issue. Quite ironic really as I bet the factory have sold far fewer than 100 AeroCoupes...

Wow. I am both saddened to hear you get stung in this manner. As you say the fundamentals are identical.

Looks like the shone on me for once !

The Max is still prettier so you can hold that close to your heart.

My max insurance is more than double Deans. My license is clean. Unfortunately a couple of write offs over time mean that the risk profile is drastically altered for the specific model.

So, dodgyken, tomorrow is the day.
Ar you going to test drive it, to fight for the price or to sign?

Again, it was bloody fantastic. Cruising with the roof on and stereo cranked up (no working front speakers) was tolerable. I have fairly long legs and found that if I shuffled my bum forwards a little I had a happier bend for my left knee. Whether this makes 400km at a time comfortable is another matter.

Making overtakes on back roads doesn't feel "arrogant" in the way it would in something mainstream - BMW M, Merc 63, Audi RS and perhaps even one of the cooking Jags. It is shouty in the way only a supercar can be - but does so while wearing tweed and smoking a pipe.

I find the chassis and setup enormously exploitable - the lightweight making it far easier to balance in the corners - and it digs in whatever gear you are in when you plant the throttle.

Insurance is buttock clenching due to the high new price (Swiss insurance is directly related to this) - and the dealer is still playing hard ball on the price.

The head says French Racing Blue XKR-S Coupe - the heart is saying Morgan.

(Actually the head says - Keep the Alpina B3 and fit the downpipe!!)

Which is the best offer you got for the full kasko?
If I remember right I am around 4k, but I should check.

Less than that! It will be around 3,100chf including the Disco - on a wechselschild - both voll-kasko.
