Hammonds car is one of the few which is widely known to have been crashed and repaired (twice). There is no doubt the factory put it all back together as good as new, but the low price paid for it to take it to Oz no doubt reflected that history.
Like others, I believe that this car was responsible for the market assuming maxes should retail under 100k. I'm sure prices are recovering a little as we come into this year and financial confidence returns to the market. We shall see.
I want to keep mine forever, but asI realise that I will drive it very little over the next 18 years until my kids grow up I do ponder whether I flip it and get a Ferrari FF that is less beautiful, and will undoubtedly depreciate, but will be usable every weekend...
