Unfortunately I must repeat it some time soon. As my mother had colon cancer it has been recommended that I should have one every 5 years. On the last one they removed a couple of very small polyps that turned out to be harmless.

The first one I had about 15 years ago was completely painless but the second had me doubled up with some pain due to trapped air. It may be that they have some different technique in Italy to that in Sydney. Must have been a bit unusual however as I did not hear anyone else complaining and it soon passed.
