NO ! The strength of Morgan is that no discounts means strong residuals, as you have noted.
I do envy a new build customer as you get that bonding proces from 'birth'. The ability to actually see your car's build is I believe unique?
Whichever route you take, I'm sure you'll love the Morgan experience.
