My reading between the lines was that the change of component was not known till it gave problems. It took me about one minute from taking the first shock out of the box to find that there was a problem and slightly longer to convince myself that I hadn't inadvertently done something stupid myself. I am surprised that Suplex let them out into the wild before finding the problem and also that their supplier did not check before delivery to Suplex. If I had access to a shock dyno then I would probably have run them up to see what they actually did and what range of adjustment they cover, I'm surprised that the manufacturer did not check them this way which would certainly have brought the fault to light.
