I'm thinking of buying one of these but I have a few questions for those of you who have one:
1. Just how secure are they? I understand they are a form of plastic, with one lock at the centre of the trailing edge. Are you happy to walk away from the car and leave your luggage unattended?
2. Regarding the fitted case, does it leave a wedge-shaped cavity underneath?
