Mateo - A few things from what you say:
AC - Yep, the SS does the same thing. Either low end throttle stabs or pressing on a bit.
NJT - Is 85mph legal? Or possible with traffic? Last time I was on it traffic was pretty heavy and only really managed around 75mph. Mind you I was coming down from NJ on the Thursday evening before memorial weekend!

The AC light: I've just started calling it the decibel meter. Dodgy electronics are all part of the contract [or so I've started telling myself].
NJT: most certainly NOT legal but at 75 it feels like you're putting around in a golf cart!
It IS a wonderful beast---nothing quite like it.
I have a few small project to take on:
1. Sorting a maddening squeak between the dash and the glass.
2. Getting a better seal on the roof.
*Hopefully both are well within my abilities.
