There is, as so often occurs at Morgan's, an overlap so that whereas the last Moss box car was indeed R7494 the first 4 speed Rover car was R7475. The ones in between can be either.
Don't quite understand that bolded statement tmg. Either R7494 was the last or it wasn't...if any were built subsequently as 'inbetweenies' the last number fitted with a Moss would have been the last, similarly if any had been fitted with the 4-speed Rover box then the first of those would have been the first ever (which I thought was the ex Jellyman/Chas Smith 'Flying Cowpat') It sounds like explaining the laws of cricket to an American. Please expand.
Have you misread what I've put? R7475 is the first Rover box, R7494 is the last Moss box. Those in between can be either.
