Sorry not to have been more precise.
The convex mirror has the glass very exposed and my intention is to apply a sheet of self adhesive film onto this - that sold for laptops/pdas seems ideal.
This would effectively laminate the glass and prevent fragmentation.
I will report back when the film arrives.
