I think what is good is the aluminium & wood craftsmanship. The assembly of the tub, the installation of the louvres, the fitting of the various parts to make a whole, including the cutting & fitting of the wings.
What lets the four wheelers down is the (apparently) rushed final assembly. My Roadster has holes in the floor for the seats drilled in the wrong place. No excuses for that. The bonnet is a very short fit on the lower edges - but something I can live with. Other than that it's been, and is a great car and in less than three weeks I will have had it for six years. The rear damper bracket is the only failure, plus a small water weep from one of the hose connections.
Bumble has been equally well made apart from poor paintwork on the lower front edge of the nearside wing, which is almost translucent and with a noticeable run. Had I bought him new, that would have been an issue.
MMC need a more fastidious approach to final assembly, that's all in my opinion - including fixings and screws which match each other!
