For someone who owned a Morgan Aero8 and has just ordered an MGB LE50 I think you are not really comparing like with like.

An old classic MGB is not the same as a LE50, no mater how much work has been put into it. The LE50 is a new car with the exception of the rear axle and a few cosmetic bits, it has parts made by British Motor Heritage www.bmh-ltd.com using the old tooling and the borough up to modern standards with new running gear, the spec and fit out are 2nd to none, to look at a photo of the car doesn't do it justice, the panel gaps and leather are top quality, I chose a Bentley leather.

An LE50 should be compared with the Eagle E Type, Singer Porsche, I believe the Jenson and the Lotus are actually restored cars with less new kit so not really "re-engineered"

So a LE50 @ £70-80k is better than the £500k for the Eagle or th Singer and that is because they can use new "heratage" parts instead of remaking every single one of them by hand.

a little one sided as I am someone who has one on order but I did have a EVA GT on order and I think that would have cost me far more than the LE50
