I just forwarded this site to my dealer. He acquired a new rear pulley for when I show up again as the noise and chirping has picked up and I can feel the wear on the teeth already. He had sent it off to the platers in anticipation so they could anodize it even more. It is still only aluminum, however. The belts, being made of Kevlar or carbon fiber, are just as tough as steel and should last well over 100,000 miles if set up properly. I think they'll eat the aluminum once again. I don't know why I have been blessed with the ability to demolish the rear pulley but I have. The forward pulley attached to the bevel box is made of that same tough steel that drill bits are made of and shows absolutely zero sign of wear!
