You could have one built from scratch to a similar spec for about half that.
Just sold my 4.2 fhc for a fraction of that price.
Nut and bolt restored, uprated engine, five speed gearbox, uprated brakes, cooling system, suspension etc.
Now in the collection of a well known guitarist.
I think it was viper on here that catalogued a Navy Blue rebuild quite comprehensively, can't remember what it sold for but you would always be better off buying the real thing IMHO.
There was a recent announcement by Jaguar that they are producing a few more E's so you don't need to compromise on an expensive "component" car.
