As has been documented elsewhere don't think it's the exhaust, it has to be the mountings coupled with the clear fact that the car is "overengined", maybe they went for an American engine to appeal to that market, the engine is crude and let's face it not very powerful, there would surely have been other engines available from Japan/Italy with less cc's that would have been smoother and more powerful. The silencers only need to be held enough to be allowed to vibrate with that great big thing thundering away in the front, clearly that is difficult due to the amount of vibration. Just my opinion but reckon am entitled after spending a lot of folding here. Will update as am sure others will.....Thanks to those who have replied, least am not alone, there is strange comfort to be drawn from that.
