I have lined my car with "Hardura" beneath the rubber mats and carpet. The car is quiet enough to 70mph
( with side screens fitted)
E blag is full of cheap AA battery powered single ear piece/ mic sets ( wired)for about £10. That can be adapted for use

They are OK for casual conversation at speed.

But to TBH I don't "feel the need for speed" above that level.
