Peter, I'm a big fan of supercharged cars (have owned three...) But :-

- increasingly challenging on emissions regs for production cars (compared to turbochargers) are there any out there now bar the dual-charger VW 1.2 & 1.4 units?
- irrespective of whether you are using a turbocharger or supercharger, it is far more efficient to use an intercooler to reduce the inlet charge temp (you cant buck PV = nRT so whatever means you use to squeeze a gas and it will get hot!) and a high inlet air temperature will not support the charge density/fuel dispersion that modern cylinder head designs require. This is why non-intercooled boosted engines died out as engine design advanced, though Lotus held out against the trend longer than most.

As an aftermarket addition of course you can do what you want.
