I made one of these to go across the top of the suitcase at the highest point linking the two luggage straps where it needs to be to be seen by lorry drivers etc..

It is made from an ebay purchase lamp and an old Laptop Bag Strap. Maybe you could buy just an extra Cross Strap from MMC?

For speed you could get an Auto Electrician to add the same plug for you as the High Level Lamp.

I had a 'Y' piece made to insert in the line for mine as I do not need to remove the existing lamp unit.



Steve Simmonds used to sell them with a Leather strap to fit in the same way. He now operates as Superspoke but it may be worth contacting him there to see if he still has any.
