Has anyone a better solution? we usually take the estate car to France and I want to go in the Morgan in 09 so with the wife and 2 lads (ok the 3 males can manage with a tee shirt and spare socks) but have you any idea how much the better 99% can take?
Then there is how to get home the wine?

Be selfish.
The best, evident, solution is to take both cars.
You in the Mog and your family in the other car and all the luggages.
If your boys have their driving licence, you can get your wife as a passenger in the Mog.
Let them go 3 or 4 hours earlier than you. They will take the motorways and big roads, and have the time to download and unpack the luggages, put drinks in the fridge, etc...
When you will arrive at the end of the day, after a nice journey around the peacefull little roads and a good restaurant at noon, everything will be ready for the "apéritif".
