Also, airbags both in the steering wheel and on the sides along with crumple zones, etc. Im not saying that the M3W isn't safe, but its certainly not safe compared to any "car" on the road and is probably marginally safer than a motorcycle depending on the accident type.

This being said, I would also sell my miata in a heartbeat to secure a M3W if only it were possible.

Maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but the full perimeter tube frame work of the M3W should be quite substantial in an impact from the side or front, the rear may be a bit less structural though.
