Obviously Mog drivers wave to one another and so do many Land Rover drivers. If I am not in my MOg, and see another one I may smile, but don't feel the urge to wave as I realise I am in another car. However, if I see a Land Rover when I am driving my old Volvo, I instinctively wave and then feel stupid when I get a blank and realise the Defender is sitting at home ! I am the only one who is stupid like this? And could it perhaps be an age thing ?
Same here. My daughter asked me once whether I felt stupid waving to other drivers who didn't wave back (whether in the Landy or not). I said no, because it is the car I am waving to, it's up to the other driver whether they wave back...
On the subject, my G Wag front-on looks quite like a Defender and I often get waves from Landy drivers, followed by a puzzled/embarrassed look as I go past. Always wave back anyway.
