In my experience, that is pretty standard. When we've done Aero road trips, most seem to sit around 100-105 but 110 isn't uncommon.

The engine compartment is cramped and you'll notice how much heat the engine gives off when you drive the car in the summer and get stuck in traffic - heat soak into the cabin footwells is cured by using the A/C and without it on, you soon realise just how warm BMW V8s run.
