Disconnecting the battery clears the ECU of codes so actually it's of no issue.
Throttle body resets are a separate reset function normally not effected by disconnecting the battery.
Buy an OBD bluetooth dongle if you have an Android phone and get the app called Torque very handy for a multitude of car based functionality.
