As you have taken the plunge I was wondering what attracted you to this particular conversion over something like a Zetec, Duratec or Sigma engine?

For me, it was the combination of the power characteristics of the engine (I'm a sucker for revvy 4-cylinder engines), the convenience of the conversion package, the affordability, the provenance of the ECU programming (John Ravenscroft) and most of all the fact that it's offered by Kevin Vernon - a truly top craftsman. None of the other options seemed to me to offer the same quality.

Agreed that the Toyota package is quality piece of kit and the conversion looks well tested and set up. The driving experience seems to have improved significantly from what you describe although I am still taken aback by the extent of change to achieve it.
