Another question I ask myself is what would the Areo have been like with the small block Corvette V8 engine? I understand the factory tried it and decided to go the BMW route instead, maybe that's a subject for another thread
What do you think the DeWalt racers have that are in the US.... and TBH if that'what the Aero was offered with then I'm sure I'd still have one.
I personally whilst I appreciate both the links you have been posted neither realy match up quite to the vintage feel of the original but then again I don't think they were intended to.
The first with the HD engine is an interesting modern interpretation, but the "thick-set" HD engine and the double wishbone suspension really detract from the original architecture.
As for the Juli it seems that "he did it his way" in a mechano and nails sort of way.
All replicas I've seen tend to end up somehow screwing up the front end proportions either due to engine size/set or revised suspension & steering both of which are more than evident in the Ace....
