Your comment is well made and our willingness to put up with the shortcomings and eccentricities of our Morgans makes no logical sense.

The only explanation i can find is that our relationships with our Mogs are more like our relationships with a boat, or a woman. We put up, no we cherish them, because they make us happy.

Absolutely. Owning a Morgan is nothing to do with logic and reason, and everything to do with emotion and enjoyment.

It's perfectly possible to buy a car which is 100% reliable in every meaningful way, does everything that can be reasonably expected of a car, and costs far less than any Morgan. The logical choice is to buy one of these.

But these are just consumer goods, they are sterile and boring and you can't fall in love with them. You can't truly enjoy life's pleasures in a car that 'just works'.
