Yes as always good and bad in all professions. I, being pedantically weird with my car and its condition, have used 'dent removers' for about 20 years now. Gwyn, now I've found him would be hard to replace. IMO obviously the objective is to remove any imperfection (the real good ones can do this in their sleep) but its the knowledge and careful manor that makes the differance regarding trim, fastners, interiors etc where you can and can't go especially with airbags and safety cells...How its put back together if necessary to remove or loosen something Quite often ,if your lucky, all that's required is the ignition key so he can drop an elec window.
Personally speaking best and most relieving job successfully carried out was when I purchased my Diablo 6 knowing it had some dents and dings in the roof panel which is where people might tend to lean on getting in and out.. Was concerned as again this section is aluminium and always a bugger to get to without messing up the headlining... No worries - by the time I'd come back into the garage with the coffee all was good.. Not all roses though as some dings just can't be removed if too inaccessible or possibly right where an impact beam might be..
Mind there was a time when I would never buy a car if it had ever had any non factory paint or any parking dent no matter how small.. Same still applies to paint but Gwyn has let my standards slip as I know what he can and can't do on the old ding front...
