Funny you should say that, Colin. I was furtling in the garage the other night and came across a lambswool-backed bonnet belt I bought from John Worrall well over 10 years ago. I didn't fit it at the time because I was warned off by people telling me I'd ruin the paintwork. Now, many years later, the paintwork isn't in that good a condition anyway so it doesn't seem so much of an issue now.

Mine is just a single-buckle job, I was thinking of fitting it this weekend. On a car as old as mine which is well patinated/pretty scruffy, I think a bit of extra wear on the paint wouldn't look out of place, and it's hardly likely to detract from the resale value, given the modifications.
