In my opinion a 300bhp (or more) 2.5 Duratec would be fine on the track but a bit pointless on the road where you want good midrange torque and power for accelerating out of corners and overtaking. On the road you would have no-where to use 300hp in a trad and it may very well tempt one to do something a bit silly. That's me anyway, I probably would have wanted and used all I could get when I was 25, driving the old Pacific Highway north of Sydney, and doing 4 wheel drifts on every corner.
