Personally I find the lights fitted to my 2012 car (and presumably the current range) to be pretty good. I have a set of fog/driving lights fitted but that is mainly for cosmetic reasons.

Our old car had Cibie H180's fitted which, when renewed because of corroded reflectors were also good.
I plan to keep our car standard - that way, if I get caught without a spare bulb when touring, any garage will be able to supply a replacement. We carry a spare bulb set, but Murphy's law states (categorically) that a second bulb will fail in the time between a spare from the set being used and me getting round to replacing it.
