Has anyone tried some slightly wider tyres on the front? I notice that Blockley do a 450X19 tyre as well as the standard 400X19. The 450 will fit a 2.5" rim, is 13mm larger in diameter and 10mm wider than the 400, so may (just) fit inside the mudguards. The larger diameter may also help with the optimistic speedometer readings as well. I will probably have to replace my Avons soon as the wear rate was excessive pre Empire kit, although much better now with even wear across the tread.
