I need to replace the tyres on my +4 T16 - it currently has the original 1996 Avons and I have no issues with them.

I am thinking of replacing them with equivalent Dunlop SP Sport BluResponse or Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance because they are both well respected brands and their stated wet grip performance is the best available.

Part of my thinking is that I have been used to a modern saloon with ABS and I want the best braking I can get in the Morgan. I have had her for 2 years and clocked up about 8000 miles, but I don’t trust myself not to slam the brakes on too hard and loose it in an emergency – I have lost it once.

My local tyre fitter has said he rates Toyo and Falcon as good choices but I have looked at the stated wet grip ratings and they are not as good as the Dunlop and Goodyear.

What experience do T-Mers have of these tyres?

What tyres do you all use and what comments do you have about them?

Left alone, I would probably buy Goodyear.
