The two together are greater than the sum of their two parts, if that makes sense. To see them live from the sixth row centre was really such a privilege. They transport all their own equipment, backstage the electronics involved is just mind blowing, the huge directional speakers render a sound that is just right, not to loud.
Obviously the Simon and Sting are the stars and one has to envy their energy but they are accompanied by the most incredible group of multi talented musicians; a guitar play that plays a drum duel with another drummer (there are three drum kits on stage), The guy with the long hair that plays violin like the devil himself, and also plays brass and other instruments, fantastic guitarists, the support singer with voice that an angel would envy, and so on.
I asked if they were planing an album or a DVD and was told that it was not in consideration. What a shame! I would buy an official live recording as quick as a flash.
We were told that Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are still friends but that Garfunkel has unfortunately voice problems and is unable to sing the way he used to.
Here are a couple of videos taken by other people.
There are plenty more from various concerts if you search on YouTube but it is not the same as being there, particularly the sound quality.
I did not take a lot of photos. I would rather watch and listen to the performance.
